Courtesy of Wack. This neatly illustrates the nation's interest level in the IOM.
Effectively, zero

Unless you're there then it's one massive **** up

I can say I've been now , 2019 , loved every minute of it , not the tent though. That was really ****

Maybe if it'd been a free day out at Oulton Park there'd be more replies :D

I’ll be watching on ITV as usual. Just have to mute the annoying bloke off Blue Peter

I went there in 99 on my ZX9R for the TT. Great atmosphere, it's a bucket list destination.

Took the GT to the island last year and enjoyed the Mountain Course, especially the bit from Ramsey Hairpin to the Creg-Ny-Baa pub. Nice cafe at the top of the mountain, apparently used to be a radar station, so right up my street.

Then there's more to the island than just the TT though.

Was just being contrary for the sake of it. My only experience of the IoM
is flying over it in unpressurised aircraft and helicopters. It always seemed
to be covered in clouds and rather uninviting. But I know that's not the case.

It rained solid for the 2 weeks prior to our arrival but the 4 days I was there the weather was like this
It's not until you see an island with little pollution you realise how clear the air is compared to densely populated areas

Your point about air pollution is very well made.
I've been astonished at how much better the air is since I moved to the North Coast
even just compared to Belfast, which lost just about all of it's heavy engineering over the
last half century. There have been days during the lockdown where the air here actually tasted
sweet, when I stepped outside in the morning.
Instead of only being able to see as far as Inishowen Head in Donegal which is about 10k as
the crow flies. I can now see all the way West to Malin Head in Donegal from here, which is at least
double the distance.
These anecdotes are hardly scientific. However, as desirable as it is to have sufficient 'face time' with others for many
reasons. I sincerely hope that we can keep some of the qualitative gains we've made of late.
Even if or perhaps because, they were made at such great personal cost to many.

We feel the same about air quality since we moved to Co. Wexford, there is something fresh most mornings (and not just from the farmers). I notice the changes on the days I go to Dublin they become noticeable about half way across Wicklow which is probably the extent of the commuter belt for most sensible people.

I suspect we will notice another drop in quality when we come back to the UK, for a holiday, in the next few weeks
