Interesting Shamal feature

Such a good car. But on bumpy English country roads the low exhaust grounds out continually, making you whince and slow down. Shame, because other than that, they’re great.

Hi. Since writing that I’ve come to the conclusion that the Shamal really needed an extra 1000rpm; it’s still a fantastic car though. From what I’ve read the Ghibli Cup is a bit more ‘me’, but what a two-car Maser garage.

And once again, thanks to the owner for the loan of the car.

We’ve already done the Ghibli Cup (with Ewan’s old car + a Porsche 968 CS) way back in issue eight but I’ll be doing something more in depth next year, hopefully with something very special (once it’s been restored).
I’m hopefully going to track down the chassis and engine engineers, if they’re still of this earth. Bit of a passion project tbh...

For those that haven't seen this before. Still for sale at 100K ??

Don’t think it’s for sale currently. I sold it for about £80k from memory, and a year or two after that it was sold on for maybe £70k or so. Still with that owner, I believe.

Blimey- I lost count of the number of times it makes contact with the floor by the end...!

Lovely looking car, and I like the way Harry's grin increased as he pushed on. One for my wish list.
