Well Guy's some of you may have read my post on the trouble I had getting agreed value insurance on my 3200 AC

I thought I had resolved this after hours of phone work talking to many insurance companies. One to remain namless at this stage gave me a quote. After a number of calls & emails they confirmed the agreed value having refered it to the underwriters at least twice to cross the T's and dot the I's.

I then agreed to the T&C paid the premium in total to cover both my maserati's. Sure enough after a couple of days all the documentation arrived job done or so I thought.

Today I recieve a call to say that the underwriters are unable to insure the cars with an agreed value as they are to new!!!!!
I informed the gentleman that all this had been discussed in detail and confirmed to me in several phone calls and that if this is the case, then I have been miss sold a policy that has now left me in an under if not uninured state. NOT A HAPPY BUNNY, but kept my cool and we agreed that he would call me back once he had discussed it with the department manager.

I get a call 40 mins later saying that they had gone back to the underwriters and they were not moving. He assured me that after looking at the rather large file of emails between them & myself they would be going through the phone recordings between them & the underwriters and if they had agreed then all would stand as per my policy doc's.

So now I'm left in limbo. If anyone has experience of this type of issue and could lend some advice legalor otherwise it would be great.

Pibbow....can gap insurance provide a let out?....or is that only for much newer cars? Loz knows about this sort of stuff, he's gone over it before on the forum.
