Variators!

Oh, and the fact that for not much extra cash you can buy a 2009 4.7 GranTurismo-S instead.

Am considering buying a low-mileage 2008 Gran Turismo. Are there any problems from that year?

Think the word problem translated here means Charater:D.
Aside the variators mentioned above, what do you know about the other tendencies that Granturismos have ?

Drop links wear, springs can break, exhaust manifolds can crack as can coolant header tanks. Also reports of alternators and aircon compressors.

Mine's on over 90k IIRC and still seems to be going strong :D

Lol I was more thinking does he know the difference between S, MC shift. Clutches/F1 pump to consider on the latter. Corrosion.

Great to hear your at 90k and she’s still going strong, I’ve just took out 5year gap insurance on mine as she’s going to be a keeper so useful info.

I’ve had two springs, drop links/ARB bushes and a/c compressor in 51k miles mostly cheap or under warranty. Front wishbone bushes were not cheap but recently done and improved the drive a lot.

I actually went for replacement gap which means when it goes up in value I’m also covered. I’m having a very positive day :D

Bought mine (pictured) about eighteen months ago and it is easily the most reliable car that I've owned. Alongside a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Mind you, I've only done about seven ish thousand miles, taking it to high eighties. Don't worry about high miles, so long as it's been loved by its owner.
Possibly buying a Range Rover TDV8 as a daily driver, so stand by for the sounds of wailing and nashing of teeth shortly!
