Been to have another look. I think you’re all right, needs to be narrower.

I thought something wasn’t right but couldn’t place it. Thanks for the second opinion guys.

Narrower looks better, and with the light unit doesn’t look quite so odd.

Is the grey around the light pod to be painted black like the 2 cars in the photos or body colour, or left as is?

Looking at them their headlight rims are black too. Might have a think about that later.

That’s pretty rough in places. Look between the headlights and bonnet. Those lumps are where the headlight support is rusting away
it was a pig, although paint looks nice and shiny it was pretty rough in quite a few places as was the the bodywork, colour seems the same as yours so had to have a closer look at it

Anything nice there?

Wing mirrors fitted. They’re Italian and 70s so I reckon there’s a 50:50 chance they’ll stay on.

Started with the frame for the fuel tank and rain has stopped play.

Run out of welding gas, fuel tank frame now bolts in but need to add some more supports and straps.

Did you dyno the motor before install?
Looking good, you'll have a shark to be proud of.

Sorry I missed your question. No I didn’t dyno it. To be honest never have done. It’ll get a 15min run, then a tappet check then another 15 mins to run the cam in. And then some road work to bed the rings. It’ll then get a go on a rolling road.

Wow, a transverse leaf spring!

Yep Corvettes still had a transverse leaf up until 2 years ago. To be fair it’s not like a Cobra, AC or Bristol where they also act as a suspension member and they went to fibreglass in the late 70s

Need to mount fuel pump, fuel filter, diff pump and cooler somewhere along with working out what to do with the fuel filler before it gets a paint. There’s not much room with the ARB in place and I’d like to keep it all within the perimeter of the chassis.
