Fucsake; who does that and thinks they have done a good job?

Is that all four corners? Do they have to be stock for the racing?

I split 3 of the calipers, they were all the same, didn’t bother with the fourth!

Yes need to run the stock calliper, they’re big and heavy but there’re 4 piston all round with vented discs. They’re not bad when you compare them with say a 60s E-Type.

Master cylinder is a POS too so brakes on hold. Thought I’d fit the camshaft core plug and put the box on the engine. But there’s no way it’s going in and no one in the uk seems to stock one the right size so completely stuck now.

Into the usual race car nothing fits out of the box stage now.

New master cylinder now on, need to come up with a bracket to mount the brake distribution block
82636

Bottom two flywheel cover bolts won’t be accessible when the bellhousing is on as the winged sump is in the way so got to come up with a solution for that.

Brake distribution block bracket made up, I’ve moved it from the factory position so it’s further from the exhaust manifold.

Clutch rods welded to make the holes round again

Can’t get the metering blocks off the carb so left them soaking in PlusGas

Not happy with the brake lines I did either, not up to my usual standard, think I’m going to redo in Aeroquip. Don’t do things after dinner is the moral here.

Carb now stripped, going to leave in carb cleaner overnight. Don’t expect it to do much as I got some in my eye and didn’t even wince. I guess it’s environmentally friendly nowadays

Now cleaned, ended up resorting to toothbrush, bucket and compressed air. I did by a “rebuild your Holley” book but it’s not turned up and to be honest this isn’t exactly rocket science

Wet sand and buff/polish this weekend

Image that immediately springs to mind!

Not convinced by the clutch fork position, the description of its correct position seems a bit spurious but I reckon it’s the wrong side of the arc on the ball think I need to get an adjustable pivot.

Looks great, how did you sort the lower 2 bolts on the dust shield?

Im not sure about the arm I think it should actually be about here at rest.

Shield: Bolt from the back and nut on the front. Means that it works like a nut and stud but I can shorten it so the shield can be removed in situ. There’s still 1/8 inch clearance between the nut and sump so no issues there either.
