Also took the opportunity while the box was out to put some heat-proofing on the trans tunnel and floor

It’s stiffer. The comb cut outs are a different shape too.

I’m thinking spigot bearing. Perhaps there’s more than one as it’s an aftermarket forged crank. I didn’t like the amount the input shaft was sitting in it when I took the box out.

That is a lot of reliance on only getting the tip in!!! (Thinks of Inbetweeners moment)

No idea not had chance to get it on a rolling road.

M21 right?
Pops out of gear on the over-run, axial play in the counter shaft.

M22 but it’s the same really.
Countershaft shaft, gears and rollers are all new and there’s no movement of the shaft in the case, I will double check when I get it out.

Do you think it could be an issue with the mainshaft or bellhousing alignment? I’ve checked but it’s got to be something that affects all gears.

Box and engine out. It’s eaten the clutch plate and the pressure plate looks terrible
