Gundrilled mainshaft, lightened gears, everything cryo treated and rem polished. See last pik64704
Rear suspension mockup. Magnesium JFZ calipers, alum coilover Konis, radius rods.64705
Smiths chronometric tach movement in corvette housing, custom dial. Engine has Cozzie parts.64706
DO NOT DO THIS! How to ruin an expensive trans. Who would think dry film lube would get on the synchros and not sync anymore.
She's a beast, but the Mas is more fun. Ed

Tacho is interesting, I’ve not decided what I’m doing with the dash yet.

That’s a lot more trick than mine will be as the FIA historic regs don’t allow a lot.

Are you running centerlock wheels?

The opening sequence of Grand Prix, with all the engines revving and tachs flicking up and down was too much, I had to have that. Yes wheels are pin drive rear, spline front, Weld centers, on 4 pc MRT carbon fiber barrels.

Yep that’s a bit trick. Are you running a mechanical tacho then?

This is my other race car, can’t work out how to embed a video though.

Yes dist. drive tach. Couldn't find usb with whole car pix, so had to tease with assembly ones, car currently has a small block w/ 44 IDF setup on it. Had a 468 alum. big block in it. Will post more when I find the other drive. Sweet Mini by the way!

I was going the big block route but have ended up with a 355 small block and Holley to save some cash.

Smart move, I spent cubic $ on the all alum big block only to find the car nearly undriveable. A friend with a '70 Torino Gt 428 SCJ dragpac car talked me into going SBC. The good thing as you know is that the BBC and SBC have the same motor mounts and for race you will use a BB radiator. Sooo.. later on if you want BB its an easy swap. I am the poster child for stupid, out in the weeds, builds on a C3.

Chassis back from dipping and e-coat last week.

65030

And two coats of epoxy on the underside, will have to wait till next week so it can cure before flipping it over.

65031

There were two bad valves in the heads when I got them and unfortunately no one does that combination of length and collet type any more. So what was originally a replace 2 valves and skim job has turned into replace all 16 valves, cut new seats, check spring pressures and shim.

It’s booked in for rolllcage fitment in April so better get a move on!

Ok, so you lot apparently have good taste. I’m struggling to decide on a colour any thoughts please (sorry white and black aren’t an option!).

Silver is probly, IMHO, classy looking, but it was from that era, and will be used on track, so brash and bright for me. Either of the two bottom pictures work.

I like the silver which was the car’s original colour but as Allan says not sure it’s right for a race car.

The Ms likes orange but she didn’t notice her folks had swapped their Jag for an Evoque because “they were both brown”, one was blue, one was grey.

I like my Yanks Tanks, but only for bouncy luxury, not for sportiness!

You can have both in ‘merica

What eight words do you NOT want to hear after making love?

'Now then, now then, how's about that then?'

I was on Jim'll Fix It once, he taught me how to milk a horse blindfolded.

I have located both my coat, and the exit, and will exit by one with the other......
