Interestingly, I get the impression that Alfa Romeo are not especially happy with how the 8C allocations turned out. You will probably notice that there are very few for sale, and when they are on sale they are always at vastly inflated prices. (Or 'the going rate', depending on your outlook.) I've only ever seen one on the road.

Alfa UK are being much tighter this time with the 4C. They want the allocations to pan out correctly and regionally. Apparently I am due a phone call from Alfa UK, having just put in an order; no doubt, to verify that I actually exist!
