I did it. Ghibli found

A while back, a number of kind members responded to my request for inside info on finding a good Ghibli.
I eventually brought a car from one of the forum’s members and McGrath’s seem to think it’s a good buy.
That’s not to say it was given a completely clean bill of health but nothing in their, very thorough, inspection report caused me to run for the kleenex.
I’ll be spreading the work, all mechanical, over the winter months as funds become available. Once all the work is done this ex-Japan ‘96 2.8 auto should go and handle as well as it looks.
Roll on spring for some proper fun.
And thanks to the previous owner for the tlc he put into the car to keep it in amazing condition for the 9 years in his care.

Here’s my new passion. Going to use sparingly, primarily for road trips with Madame. It’s a left hooker so my Canadian wife feels right at home on the “wrong” side of the car.
That colour is extraordinary. In low light it looks black, in bright overcast light it looks dark metallic blue, but in direct sunlight it’s a derp metallic green. I’ve never seen a paint job like it.
The steering rack and steering joints are being overhauled first. In spring it’ll get a 4 year service and perhaps a rebuilt diff as there’s a distinct whine on the over-run and some steel shards on the magnetic drain plug.
I love the exclusivity and the stealth of the car. It doesn’t shout until you hit the loud pedal.
