Hurricane Sandy

Devastating events the past couple of days and all things considered they came out the other end ok.

Despite the seriousness of it all, there will always be a couple of people trying to get their 15 seconds of fame.

I was in contact with a friend of mine who is a few miles north of New York, he rode out the storm with his 2 dogs, but lost loads of massive trees around him and none of them hit the property, lucky man. Another friend of mine has a beach house on Long Island, I think that will have got a bit battered.

Indeed, i have family there and many friends... all are safe and well and experienced nothing but power and communications outages. Reminds me of the great storm of 1987!

Nature and humans.....don't mix well at times....yup a nephew living there near path and niece visiting....no problems though
