HR Owen - Hatfield - Maserati announcement

Hi all,
Just got an email through from HR Owen Hatfield to say that they have now concluded their partnership with Maserati, and their Hatfield showroom and aftersales centre will no longer be operating.
The new facility there was only opened a few years ago and looked very impressive.
I wonder what has happened?
Is anyone in the know and can share details?
 
They talk about this when they closed HR Owen in Manchester That Hatfield was going also soon .
JCT Leeds maserati is also finished they are not taking any new bookings .
 
Not a surprise, I can see how they didn’t sell many cars from Hatfield. The Maserati part was almost tucked away and I can’t say I was inspired by the customer service when I went. A shame as it’s yet another dealer gone though.
 
They hosted Scuderia Maserati last year and it was an impressive set up. But the other marques were more impressive....

I’m thinking maybe 5 in England.
London, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds.
 
It’s dire in the UK.
If I were to be ordering a new MC Pura, I’d go directly to the factory to spec it.
But that’s a job for next year, not this.
 
Such a shame but not surprising sadly given the number of cars recently sold. I dont think the situation is beyond saving and the company are making some right noises but they need to deliver quality, service and support as well as focus on where the Brand should sit and be consistent with things, mixed or changing messages just add to the mess of the situation.

Agreed. And my experience of Alfa main dealers a few years ago was truly truly dreadful (and led to my selling the car).

My experience of main Maserati dealers (principally Egham) is generally ok, although of course they charge through the nose and in fact are less knowledgeable than Matt and similar preeminent independents.

Not keen on that new front end design for the whole range. I preferred the previous version more... but was not keen on the scallops on that too.

Maserati used to be elegant, now it has a mouth that looks like its been chewing a knife!
