This guy makes Loz look tame. Id love to know what this does to the life of a clutch not to mention the tyres

Bianco Fuji too.....criminal! :)

I'm all for driving your car as you chose, but short of showmandhsip, I cant see the point in that. Does that make me an old fart?

As an aside, thats quite a common colour statside.

He ain't riding the clutch, he's riding the throttle. He's a pirrock, but he isn't doing that much harm to the clutch. 7,000rpm doing donuts in first, 7,000 rpm doing 160 down an autobahhn, no difference. Tyres a flocked though.

Well to be sure he isn't treating his car with any respect, but so long as the clutch is fully engaged, which it must be to do that, then no harm is being done specifically to the clutch. pretty much everything else will be stressed though. Do this sort of thing on a dyno and they stick a ruddy great fan in front of the engine, for good reason.

Ah the joys of living in the Middle East. When I lived in Qatar, every single night all the young guys with too much money and nothing to do would do donuts on the main highway just outside where I lived. Hour after hour of it, interrupted by occasional stops when the police felt they had to make an appearance. My students (aged from about 15-19) reliably informed me that they could get through a set of back tyres easily in a night...and some of them were out doing donuts almost every night too. Needless to say they often failed to hand in their homework! Only one of my students had a Maserati though...all the rest had american muscle cars or nissan's...apart from the boy who was given a Hummer for passing his GCSE's...and who then decided to drive to his mates house on the main highway, all the way in reverse! He was stopped by the police...who then got rather flustered (as he was a member of the royal family) he was asked to please drive it forwards....not bad seeing as he was only 16 and the legal driving age is 18 I think. Now I'm in Thailand, where tyres are far to valuable to waste. From one extreme to another.

Agree with Miles, the clutch shouls not be an issue as he is will be riding limiter is a lowish gear to do it....Tyres and engine stress is the only issue I would say and then he would need to be doing this lots to really damge the engine....Not healthy though and apart from his mates most would think...pratt.
