Thank you very much Mav, now I need to get my **** in gear and do the job

What would you prioritise, leaking cam covers or heater matrix (which is diverted so not leaking currently)? lol :)

Excellent guide, I'm sure this will be referred to for many years to come.
It is a bit of a rubbish design though, you put it all back together, and you can't tell if the **** thing is okay after you have refilled her up with coolant and ran her for a while.
From my experience on other cars you can always give the jubilee clips a tighten after a few heat/cool cycles.
While it was apart, did you change the rubber coolant hoses too?

No I didn't as there looked to be in very good condition the matrix on the other hand was shot

The GS centre console is slightly different but there are only 3 screws, 2 rear through the vents and 1 forward (under switches on GS) holding the console which will be the same, you’ll need to remove the armrest and NIT unit to get access, this must have been done by someone a few times before?

Ive tried it....there are a couple on the front, sides apparently...(4200 manual) ?
Yes there are, they are on the bottom near the front, you have to slide seat all the way back and pull the carpet back from transmission tunnel to find them.
