The info on howmanyleft is based on the data published by the DVLA - so it must be a reasonable estimate of the number of cars registered in the UK (either taxed or SORN).
I checked the numbers for the following:

Cars which were never UK registered are not included.
Does anyone have any better info?

The problem is that the Dvla has cars incorrectly listed. For example, almost every Gransport Coupe I've ever had (30 or so) have been listed as Gransport Spyder on the V5c.

Yup....same for me, it always comes up as a spyder when I do an insurance search

When I searched for Insurance for my new car from Dickie, 50% came up as Spyder.

Got a great deal - £320 Fully Comp. Must be REALLY old now! Is cheaper than the Merc CL500 too. Result.

Downside though looks like. I might have to wait until Monday to collect her. Forgot I have commitments on Sunday morning this week. Member of the Warwick Court Leet dontcha know
