As soon as the concrete's cured (2weeks), my 'shed' goes up! 12m x 7m. Can't wait...

Zero rust, 23k miles, 85% orig. paint, etc. I've built and fitted a 1300 Okrasa engine, which puts out 52hp. Kept the orig. 36hp motor though. Love driving this as much as the Maser...

So Bebs, when are we going to have a date in the diary to come to yours for the grand opening of the garage project and the big “Smoke Off” now Le Mans has moved to August, how about late June when the restrictions are lifted?

GT40 final inspection was last Thursday and it arrives on Tuesday so I’m ready to bring it over. On the silenced pipes it averaged 110db’s and with the straight through megaphones it was 130ish. Blimey it’s loud.... and the ride shakes your fillings out but what excitement! 82707

I was thinking late June/early July Frank. As soon as we know more about the restrictions being lifted I’ll get a date in the diary.
Great photo of you and the beast! 130 DB is very decent.. I gather it’s Fighter jet after burner levels! I only registered 128 DB on the 360.
Looking forward to many more photos when you get the car home :)

Think it was roughly £1300 per door, fully insulated including installation.

So sat down with new architect, previous one sadly died recently, today to discuss the new garage. I was concerned that the plans we had were not detailed enough, basically an 12x8m box with a mezzanine floor. No detail on internal dimensions, no plans for shower room, toilet, kitchen area etc and nothing about pipework, electrics, drains etc. New architect looked at what we had and advised show them to a builder here and he will build, get into the detail as you is how things are done here.

However after looking at my ideas, the fact I want no pillars and that I want the mezzanine floor space to be a fully fitted man cave he advised that a steel internal structure would be the best solution. He is now going to draw up the design for the steel, and will do more detail around the man cave. We will then share the plans with 2 local steel companies and 3 builders to get estimates on cost and time. Turns out this architect designed our house originally and he has all those plans including the ground works so we can see where all the underground runs for oil tank, well, drains etc. which will make digging the foundations a bit easier.

Progress if not actually breaking ground yet

I have just done a rough plan for one and just working out the best structure as well. Seemed that SIP panels with timber or steel skeleton frame could be good.

I'll see if I can dig out my plan.
