Got the new steels fitted this morning. Acrow props out and car straight in to gauge fitment. What a difference... Easy access now compared to before (see previous pics)
Carpenter next and then we can measure up for the 3 roller shutters which should be fitted early August.

Eventually the garage should look like the drawing below, but once the roller shutters are fitted, the rest of the work will have to wait until I can get the materials for the new roof and the extension, windows and doors. Impossible at the moment due to Covid-19.

The first time I saw one of those turntables was on a Whicker’s World episode in Hong Kong. The guy’s house was half way up the Peak and his drive off the edge of a cliff.

Dampness or woodlice? Haha i assume the former! Also how would one execute such a job?

various ways, simplest way would be to use liquid DPM epoxy coatings, no idea how effective they are as never used them, other solution is 1200 gauge DPM over existing floor and 70/80mm of C40 concrete which means you're raising the floor height or break out old concrete and lay new concrete over DPM

Liquid DPM has got to be the easy way to do this. Have a look on YouTube, not difficult to do and def worth it before you paint the floor.

My trouble is that the floor is noticably not level in places. Im not concerned with it being level but what challenges does it present with the liquid dpm application?
