Home Garage re-build (of sorts)

The new house included a high roofed garage which came inclusive of a lot of dust, damp and rotten doors.

Needed a nice warm dry place to store the QP but couldn't open the garage doors without bits crumbling off in my hands! Decided to buy some electronic insulated roller doors which worked out very good value indeed.

Then came the prepping of the walls inside the garage and the eventual lock-down! Lock down being problematic as paint demand suddenly adapted A-list popularity.

The jobs to follow are extra couple of coats of Masonry paint on all walls, epoxy resin flooring or interlocking tiles, re-doing ceiling plaster boards, re-doing of electrics (extra LED lights), man-cave signage, TV, Dehumidifier, couch and a couple of quick jacks with a view to adding a four post lift in a few years for 2 car storage.

Looking good. Amazing what a new door, some paint and some elbow grease can do

That was mine until about 5 years ago Wanderer; I came to the realisation that I was storing a car outside that was worth far more than all the cr@p. I was part way through clearing it when the car was stolen off the drive! That focussed my resolve I can assure you.

Yup - we're on it! Might need to lay up the Maser in it if it works out as not worth it to take it the Luxembourg for next job....

Doesn't look high enough for 2 car storage?!

I'm lucky enough to have a tandem garage at a push. I had three storage racks in it till I realised that I didn't have any **** to store on them so I got rid of one plus some crappy plastic jobbies. I have a workbench which is useful plus a self-funding tool cabinet. It's in a bit of a mess at the moment but I'll tidy it up next week.

Self funding tool chest - a self-contained collection of implements that when used refund their initial cost, possibly more, by competently carrying out rudimentary and advanced mechanical, electrical and electronic tasks whereby 'getting a man in' would cost more.

I thought a few of you have got these.

Interesting to follow this as might be doing a bigger home office soon.

Currently have this:

However fancy filling in this bit with something:

Found these that might be an option as modular and customisable in layout. Was thinking of putting 3 together.

Might need painting though but ideal garish white for us at the moment for different reasons.
