As mine is currently on its last legs, see picture below, decided to get this ordered. Turned up when i was away, but if ever a nut was worth £112, this is it. Its well made and a nice piece of jewellery, shame it never gets seen. Big shout out to the guys there, very easy to deal with, and swift delivery.

It probably feels like a bargain when you think of the cost of replacing the oil pipe as the alternative..
Its still more than a ton for a nut ! Nuts ...

edit- it does appear to have a bit more material to it. I think its the skinny proportions that is the issue with the originals....Lets hope these split nuts last a bit better....

My car is also now sporting one of these nuts...

When I went to the garage the original nut had already split in two and just half remained holding the pipe on!!!

Whilst i swallowed hard at the cost, when you look at it, and start to add up the material, and labour to make it, its actually pretty reasonable. However, its still £112 for a nut

More like £200
If we can get around 30 nuts made up we’re looking at around £200 for the nut, thread lock, a clear set of instructions and sent to your destination of choice (UK only). We will look at distribution to Europe, Australia, NZ and the USA etc on an individual basis. Obviously, the final cost depends on demand.

So please append you name below and whether you are UK based or not.
Thanks MLC and MVK

Hill made them at my request - I simply couldn't wait for the group buy to get going as I had a ton of cars queued up waiting for them. I had Hill manufacture them in a slightly different way to the forum ones which halved the end cost. The great thing about having a proper company make them is that if there was a manufacturing defect then they are insured - when you consider the potential implications of a failure then having liability insurance to fall back on is a good thing.

Understood, it would still have been nice to have been asked though.

Was Voicey not involved in the original idea in the first place? Am fairly certain the first thread a year or so ago made mention of "in conjunction with" or something similar. That said, and perceived etiquette issues aside, as pointed out above there was no mention of liability insurance. This was my reason for not signing-up.

So me and Zep got this fitted this evening, i believe he is going to do a full write up, but it fitted spot on and certainly looks man enough for the job. My OEM nut was cracked on all faces, so pleased to have this fitted now

I feel vaguely responsible for this. And yes, there is clearly something wrong with your thought process.

You need to enrol on Adam and Athol’s “Advanced Man Maths and Abstract Theory” distance learning course immediately.
