Hi folks

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this - but I saw a lovely dark 4200 leg it up Highgate Hill about 7:45pm last night - and saw it the night before driving more sedately as well. Is it anyone off here?

Cheers

Nah it was a hard top and probably black (although I only saw it at night).

Great to know that a few other folks manage with the CC gearbox around London - itching for the right one to come up so I can join you!

I drove a CC 4200 in London as my daily driver for almost two years. Great fun it was too.......

..............until the clutch let go on the outside lane of the North Circ. Brent Cross flyover. That caught my attention. :D

Ouch not a great place for that to happen, was it on the way up or down?!

I've seen cyclists go over that in rush hour so it can't have been the craziest thing to happen over that flyover!

On the way down towards Henly's Corner. I managed to get to the inside lane where cars were queuing for the lights. The car kept stalling. But, I could get second gear, just. And, by keeping the revs high and keeping moving at all costs, I was able to turn left at the lights, head up through Hendon (crossing Hendon Way was not fun) and onwards for a mile to my sister's house in North Finchley.

I was an interesting thirty minutes. Felt like four hours.
