On my flat drive there is a relief gap of 23.5 cm from the drive to the bottom edge of the registration plate of my QPV.
This matters because there is just enough clearance to get the car in my garage over a short but relevant incline. So the Q is what is the gap from the ground to the bottom of the registration plate on a GT? (please)
4.5 inches on mine... and yes, it has come off once or twice, steep ramps with an adverse slope the other side outside Wifes office need to be taken with care..

That will depend on how the plate is mounted. Not trying to be difficult but not sure there's a standard....

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, it’s nothing a couple of bits of wood couldn’t fix.

Hi, and Welcome... Might be timely... I'm toying with selling my GT.. Its a Sport Auto 2012 in Blu Oceano over Sabia. 41k miles.
FSH at Dick Lovett and detailed and coated with IGL Kenzo .. Not seriously thought about what it's worth yet ,.. but looking at the others around right now I would have thought it a good deal circa £34k

Good deal....34k fir a face lift car sounds like a bloody bargain. Andy this has to be a look at the price point. Plus add it's a great colour combination it must be a winner....

Has definitely piqued my interest. @Fangio63 what part of the UK are you in?
I'm in Reading, Berks. - Just had some feedback from a trader .. " In a strong Market it's a £50k car, as it is retail is probably £42K" .. I think he's right, but I'm not a dealer, so no warranty / finance facilities etc, and the chips would need doing as well as some minor scuffs on the interior rear transmission tunnel (I've got contacts who can bring it up to mint for very little money).. The other thing is that the "Trade in " value of these is way lower than retail... So at what I'm quoting I think it's a steal for someone, Rather give a fellow enthusiast a deal than a dealer a profit..

Great looking car. Blu Oceona has so much more depth than Nettuno (have owned both). Nice buy for someone.

Welcome Andy! Good decision, they are great cars.

@Fangio63 - Wow, that is stunning. And a seemingly bargain price. Where were you 2 months ago when I asked in the wanted section :-(
I wasn't aware you could get a 2012 facelift ? I thought it was 2013 that came out?
Whats the score with the Sport Auto? Is that the one that is pretty close in sound and performance to the MC-shift?

head up my proverbial with work etc... not been on here for ages...
and yep this is one of the first facelift cars (October 2012) The sound is as you'd expect from the MC shift.. and has led to me driving most of the time in manual mode with the sport button on (and poking up with the firmer ride)..You do notice the extra HP though that might be down to the transmission, and the suspension which I think was also tweaked gives the impression it's wearing hiking boots rather than loafers...
It's a great machine - and I'm sure a bargain - though - as it is... - If I have to prep it for sale then I'll need to adjust it. .. Decision to sell not completely made - but I'm pretty sure it's got to go, just not what I need right now..

You are right about the Oceano... I think there's a little bit of red flake in it somewhere.. in certain lights it can look purplish , and since it's been scrubbed up the paint work looks like you could drown in it.... only ever seen one other Sport this colour..

Sorry for the delay chaps. Busy work time. Really does look great. I am not in a position to go right now, but a couple of months time I should be. @Fangio63 you said you were toying with idea of selling, please poke me if you are serious a little earlier than my timeframe.........things can move :)

Thanks for that ... I'm nearly there with my decision... but a bit depends on terms for the replacement I have in mind, and if I get a solid / sensible p/x deal - (I'll nudge you before I take the plunge)... But in the meantime don't rush into anything without coming to see it... I'm certain it will knock spots off anything out there ... unless you're spending over £40k.. and I'm unlikely to "advertise it" more publicly... For the record the last service was the 37.5k one - which is a big one.. the bill came to over £3,300 with a few extra precautionary things attended to early.. So despite the mileage / age it's the right side of a big bill, for you, thats worth bearing in mind..
Keep in touch !

Probably, and maybe I'm a bit hasty... but a quick bit of research reveals Retail circa = £40 / 42k Trade circa £32k, concession sale circa £38k less prep costs ... So a "Mates Rate" somewhere £34 - £36k provided timing suitable and not to much pouncing about..

Selling through the forum attractive as you're dealing with people that know what they are looking at, supported by others that have experience of the marque, rather than the usual dreamers who end up with a hot Audi..
Also, and I'm afraid to admit it- but there's a certain "emotional attachment" with these (I'm sure I'm not the only one) .. good to know it's going to a good home. - And you'll notice that forum members often follow the ownership of their previous cars around the group.. Which is nice- and gives the cars themselves a "provenance".

I get the emotional attachment thing. Seeing stuff go to a good home is important. Am the same when selling a house....odd but is they way it is. I am still new to this so would not class myself as knowing what I am looking for, but the other guys here are saying is a great car and a good deal.

Dangerous. Surely better to tell her you extended the timeline from last year and now is optimal. Should we deploy the forum's high-powered Premium Edition Man-Maths Calculator (with optional Woman-Alignment Module*)
