Hi guys,

Im new to this forum!

Good to find one with people from AUS

Just having some problems identifying the exact model of my Maserati as im looking to part ways with it. Is in mint condition as it was my Dads baby.

Have been told its a Ghibli, have been told its a 222 and have been told its a 430.

What i know is that its a 1995, twin turbo V6, 2.8L.

Will post a pic of it,

any help would be appreciated!!

That is a 222 SE. Looks good (well for a Biturbo)

Cheers mate! I hope your right. What's the difference between the SE and the sr? And the 4V? Still learning about this thing...and also where can I find parts? As I need to replace the alternator

Good question. SE more luxurious than the E with electric seats etc but you would need to look at the chassis number for more info.

A lot of earlier 222s have been retro fitted with the deeper bumpers but a real SE can be spotted by the colour of the plastic trim in the interior, which is black instead of the earlier brown.

Agreed, its a 222 SE, the black grille, headlamp surrounds and window frames are the giveaway (the 222 SR has the later style lights and a spoiler at the base of the windscreen).

Awesome. Thanks guys that questions answered. Now my next...I'm having an issue with my alternator..it seems to be overcharging. Any advice? Is it a quick easy fix? Or should I just replace it? If so where can I get parts? Iv found it nearly impossible to find any. Btw I'm in Australia.

Yes 222 SE and very lovley it is to....I know they are from a different time but i like them..
