HELP OIL EVERY WHERE 3200

Help sik 3200gt
driving back home today smiling of burning oil looked in the mirror smoke out of n/s rear end opend up the bonnit engine oil every where all over n/s bank of the engine then caught fire low down
extinguisher out gunkd off
any ideas what it is that could have gone bad any common issue ?

Or the return going back into sump I would certainly be checking both turbo feed and returns.

As above - otherwise have you hit speed hump hard? If so check oil cooler pipe as I had similar oil leak when cross bar cut hose.

Check how much oil in the sump. If there's sufficient to run the engine.first clean up all the oil in the engine bay,then start the engine. you should now be able to spot the leak.

Also check the hoses of the oil evaporator, having one unconnected can also blow out quite an amount.

Also bear in mind a spoon full of oil goes a long way and makes a lot of mess so it might not be much

The oil filler cap came off on my van on the M6 , there was oil everywhere , even on the back wheel mud guards, but what'd been spat out in 25 miles didn't even take it off the top mark on the dipstick

Oil leaks so far on my car have been the oil cooler radiator, the turbo feed hoses, the turbos themselves via the bearings and the dip stick popping out of its tube because the o ring was loose. I had a loose union on the steering rack too which was easily fixed, but did spill onto the exhaust. I also have had the rotary seal on the gearbox drive shaft go but that was underneath and again spilled onto the Exhaust. I had a weeping leak on the diff prop shaft seal for a while. That lot over 13 years of ownership.

I don't agree with anything Jeremy Clarkson has ever said (at least nothing that I can remember) However I also recall that as a teenager I believed with 100% conviction that all my opinions were correct and everybody else's opinions were doubtful at best. As I've got older I have learned that I dont know everything so I think we need to cut Greta a bit of slack ...

i cleaned it off run her up today can't see where it came from level looks ok 5 bar pressure reading 4.5 on idle
drives ok in sport mode as well turbos come in ok don't under stand why jackd it up and cant see any leak the only thing is diffrent was on tick over when i rev the lh bank sounds like its hesitating spots drawing air
