Help please just got to Gloucester and have no throttle.
Engine light not on and when in neutral can not rev engine on throttle pedal.
When in gear she has limited revs slowly up to 3,500.
Car sounds fine and all gears etc ok.
Don't want to have to get her recovered back to Somerset if i can help it and my diagnostics are in the workshop.
Any ideas please?
Phil.

Sorry Phil,
not sure what this could be...
have tried searching on here,
but only thing I can find is on throttle reset
(for hypersensitive throttle on 3200).
Regards,
Enzo.

Phil, battery reset mate.

Disconnect battery leave boot open and drivers window down a bit first. It's best to leave it overnight, but 1-2 hrs should do it. You could try after 30 mins as it takes 20 mins for the current to disipate from the system. Obviously check the fuses and throttle connections whilst you are waiting.

Reconnect the battery and start without touching the throttle and leave to idle for 20mins.

That will reset and relearn all the peramiters.

Just fired her back up and apart from idleing at about 1200rpm she revs ok now in neutral.
Don't know what it was all about but did get stuck in bad traffic on the M5 around Cribbs causeway stop/start for about 45 mins.
Driveing down to Lyme Regis in the morning so we shall see how she behaves.
Many thanks to all you guys again.
Phil.

Anytime Phil.

The 1200 idle is normal when relearning as is a very pungent overfuelling smoky exhaust. If I were you, get home and reset it overnight and give it a good 30 mins idle in the morning, again without touching any pedals, controls etc and definatelly do not touch the gas even when re starting for the first time.

Then take it out and spank it within an inch of it's life....not putting yourself in danger ofcourse!

This trick comes from the Indies and main dealers.
