Hello
I have been having a blast with this Quattroporte . I've had it two weeks and was just rear ended by a hit and run driver. I currently have the car at a shop and it's been a nightmare getting parts. I was hoping someone could identify this part that is missing off the inner rear valance panel. When the car was hit this part was completely destroyed so we can't identify it. This is a picture where it mounted with the plug. That plug is in the wiring harness with the rear backup sensors. I'm a bit surprised at the quality of people they have at my local Maserati dealer they have been very little help . Zero parts knowledge. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be awesome.92705

Have you got a pic zoomed out so we can get a better idea where this is?

I think it may be a vertical acceleration sensor. Is it no3 on this diagram?

Thank you everyone!! It's been frustrating at the least . We think its the rear TPMS antenna ??? But they keep saying there should be two in the back. But my car only has this one mount???

Omg what a shame so new into ownership. Fingers crossed you get it all sorted asap and get back behind the wheel. :(

I though there was one in each wheel well but the parts sheet is not entirely clear

There would be 4 and they are in the wheel arch area. If it is in the boot check the diagram in post #4

Give us a clue on location and you may get an answer from someone in the know. Showing us a plug and bracket won't help very much. :excellent:

Well I am stumped I am afraid. I would suggest taking some better photos to pinpoint the location exactly and also more of the cable harness.. and contact a friendly indie for expert advice.

If the wire from that plug ends up inside the boot behind the light, then I have the same issue. I have a section of harness disconnected and so consequently my reverse sensors are not wired up. Interested to see how this pans out as it might help solve my issue also.

The sensor control is on the left hand side so maybe that is the feed/connection from/to it. Dunno

me neither, theres an unplugged connection in both compartments. I'll strip the boot one day and take a good look. If OP you havent resolved your issue by then, maybe i might be able to help. I am hoping you get the answer first

Wonder whether it is for running lights in the bumpers for the US.

The side marker lights for the US are incorporated in the rear lamp clusters (not the bumper). They can be activated in UK models simply by adding the relevant fuse.
