Good evening,
before its winter layup when ulocking the car and opening the door the hazards start to flash, they do go off after a period of time, but upon the next key off/on they start to flash again, its as if the alarm is activated but no noise from the siren,Any idea chaps as to the cause >car is a 2000 model year 3200

Lock and alarm are out of sync and your siren is knackered.

Unlock with the fob. Open the door. Wait for the light show to end. Close the door and lock it with the key

Won't fix your silence but odds on the lights will stop....

Ahh well that's a different issue. Without a working fob, you can't disarm. Apologies I rather assumed you were unlocking with the fob.

First thing:
Get close to the car and press the unlock button on the fob twice rapidly. If it's gone out of synch that should fix it and it should then work.
Otherwise new batteries (CR2032 from memory) DON'T LOSE THE RFID TRANSPONDER and if no better repeat the step above and hope.

PS I'm assuming this is a 4200?

As C has said if it’s not unlocking then it’s the alarm going off and the siren is knackered. Try the batteries. If not they’re a Meta alarm and there’s quite a few places in the U.K. that can recode the chips in the fobs.

I’ve started and driven a 3200 with the alarm going off. Doesn’t seem to have any effect other than making you look like a kn0b in front of the neighbours.

I try to disarm as much of this useless security rubbish as I can. I always open & close the door the old fashioned way...............key in lock,,,,,,,,,,,,,twist.
