If i recall correctly Maserati refused to pay out on Warranty Ckaim to a forum member as he had used the car on a track... and then they publish a how to but for track use only!!!!!

Double standards again.

That reads more like a 'This is how you do the fastest start' as opposed to what I understand by launch control which is 'A down B Up start select' then the car does it all for you.

I have a normal original 2007 4.2 auto. I once tried the hold the brake and press the accelerator to raise the revs....and got a nasty sound and hastily lifted off before releasing the brake so no launch! However I wasn't in sport and also had msp on.
But probably won't try it again, unless i understand a bit more on how autoboxes deal with thi and what kind of damage I could be doing!

Posted on the forum at various times are details of the gear box ecu and software versions. I don't recall there being anything different shown specifically for the GT S.

Just to bust those myths....as far as can tell it’s looks like dumping the clutch at 3000rpm with no traction control - will evaluate this weekend
Yep - that's the one. Tried it at Imola on the TTP trip. Basically took off like a stuck pig - tiniest of wheelspin and off we went. Must admit I probably under did the revs and although I'd have been chuffed to leave a #11 on the tarmac - I chickened out at about 2k revs as I wanted to drive it home  and not put it in the litter either :)

Apparently it's how they got to the figure of 5.1s for the 0-60, which I think stands at 5.4s in the 4.7S.

I brought my Sport GTS the same week the Harry's garage YouTube clip came out - That resulted in a surge of interest and the last 3 Sport GTS' available in the UK were snapped up. The one at Harry's garage went for £33,500 within 24 hours. I was lucky to buy mine when I did as it the exact spec I would have chosen had I be configurating from new, Grigio Granito paintwork with chestnut leather interior. I am yet to try the launch control yet as I have no bloody idea what most of the buttons do yet!

Always wondered what the Harry’s garage car went for. Yours looked great too, didn’t mind the brown leather at all, was just not sure on the wood trim, but that’s just me.

Looks like the black one with yellow bits for £29k has gone from autotrader. Maybe that sold too. Not bad during lockdown!

Also like this one.....Been for sale a few times as most cars like this do.....Love the yellow stitching. Only ever seen one GTS in white in the flesh and that wax owned by a chap who ran the Ford dealer by Llandow circuit. It looked better in the flesh than pictures. I would like the wheel colour a little darker but other than that it's lovely. Been for sale for ages and still looks too much money even it Harry's car sold for this. Although there is that red one also up in the 30's for sale.
