Just embrace it like I have, Always had hair in the style of @philw696 until I started losing it in my thirties, now I have a no1 every 4 weeks, if it gets any longer than that I can't stand it.

me too - although I’ve just started doing it without a guard, so I think that makes it a number zero...

Well I can't really offer much advice for your friend I'm afraid Wattie.

I had my hair cut last week and went to a new barber but forgot to get him to thin it out and it wasn't cut short enough. Not sure I'll make it to the end of the month at this rate!

I'd say to your friend to grow (sorry!) old gracefully. Oh naturale is the way forward. Next he will be looking at facelifts, implants and all sorts.

I'm 58 and still got my hair after years of fearing going bald. It's thinner obviously but still there and not grey apart from the odd strand, I have a pic somewhere from last year - was playing in a band so went long hair and beard. Beard used to be ginger but that's definitely gone grey now which is infinitely better than ginger, sorry gingers.

Hair transplantation is technically a branch of plastic surgery. I have colleagues that do it. If you want a serious talk- PM me your number and I am happy to discuss. (Ps- technology has come on a lot and they offer follicular unit extraction (FUE) now- even using robots - so it’s worlds apart from the old strips they used to butcher from the back of ones head to leave horrendous scars and plugs that look like carpet.
