As an afterthought,a 3200 turned into a "race car" wouldn't be competitive. Maserati did a race car version and at least two were imported into Melbourne. They were for sale on my105 site for years, nobody was interested. They are probably quietly corroding away in somebody's shed to this day.

It depends on the class it might be eligible to compete in.
I think this is a way of getting value back for the work he has already put into the car.
He mentioned stripping the interior out, fitting a roll cage and race seats.
He is currently building an MX-5 rally car so has expertise in modifying cars.

Hi, Bruce great to see your posts, on the race car story does anyone have 18" that will fit a GS as I would like to take the hill climb/lap dash up a level with cut slicks as they used to called. It is hard to fit purpose tyers to the car and still get road use from it, any condition would be considered as they would be track use only. Cheers all the best Shane

The car in question belonged to Andrew who sat across the table from you at the Auto Italia dinner last year.
Try New Model Wreckers, they will have sets.
