Well today was the day that Dan and I met to see what the difference was between a standard 440hp GTS and DMS'd quoted 505hp tuned derivative.

The main reason for the test was that Dan stated that he had not noticed any significant difference. Myself, well, I wanted to see what i could get for the best part of a grand under the hood.

We met and had an extremely pleasant lunch at Dans local, and as Dan had only just received his car back from the bodyshop, we both felt it only fitting to go for the Venison...very tasty.

Anyway, to the test. I was expecting to be comprehensively whooped!

All test were side by side on a deserted dual carriage way 2nd and 3rd gear rolling starts.

The tests were conclusive, but what that conclusion was, I am going to make you wait a little longer and ask you to vote.

I voted with what I thought should be the case if I'd spent a wad of money on an ecu upgrade. In my mind Dan's should wipe the floor and I suspect when he said he couldn't notice the difference what he really means is that he's got used to the additional power? However I could be completely wrong (I normally am!)

I think I should point out that the car on the right was doing less than 20mph and causing a legitimate obstruction requiring it to be passed, not undertaken...

I thought that was a given Dan, I certainly never broke the speed limit all day, did you?
