Iain - I really like the look of the facelift wheel, but I just went and took a pic of my current wheel, and at first glance it looks pretty similar...

Does this mean I've got a different wheel to the standard one, or are the changes more noticeable in real life..?

Its totally different Jon.
It was a big deal for me.
Look at the overall thickness and shape - especially the flat moulded bottom...

Compare them side by side on the same screen.
But you must feel them to tell the difference.

So did you swap from the normal wheel to the facelift, and then to your custom CF one? Or did your car come with the facelift wheel as standard?

My car had a standard one - which I hated - but I noticed the facelift one on a car on the way in.
So I negotiated the transfer as part of the deal. I probably paid around 1000 for the privilege looking back on it - but It was essential for me.
There are a few essential items for me on the interior and exterior, but its all personal preference.
It definitely would update your interior, and the exterior is stunning as it is.
the 450 option is a good price for alcantara.
It depends if you want the heavily modded look or facelift upgrade as more standard.
I can see both sides.

I can see that the facelift wheel is nicer, just need to decide whether it's £500 nicer.

I think first on my (very short) list of mods is an x-pipe, which will hopefully happen in the New Year. I love the sound of my car in Sports mode, but because it's an Auto it doesn't quite have the crackles, burbles and pops that I think an x-pipe would add.

I hate to burst your bubble, but you're still not going to get much in the way of crackles. I have an x-pipe and GTS valved boxes

I'd much rather you burst it now than I get it done and it doesn't deliver!

The biggest thing I notice when comparing my car to a proper MC-Shift is when I'm in say 2nd gear, I accelerate and then lift off slightly, and you get that crackle and pop. It's also pretty different when deceleratating and downshifting...

I know when in Auto mode it won't sound the same, but if it's in Manual and in Sport mode, I was hoping an x-pipe would make it sound much closer to an MC-Shift.

Not in my experience, chap. Where abouts are you? You're welcome to come have a listen

Thanks C - I'm in Surrey, between Epsom and Leatherhead. Appreciate the offer and may take you up on it in the New Year
