Think this is the second time I've posted something similar, apologies for clogging up the forum space!

Car out today for first decent drive in about 5-6 weeks I think, plus she was detailed last time I put her away, dry roads, sun out. My god this GranTurismo really does stir the soul, how many cars genuinely do that.

It just gets to you. See these threads where people say 'should I get the GranTurismo or the xxx' and people write back well the GT is a bit old tech, it's not the quickest blah blah, they've not owned one have they. It's got it all for me, and Jesus wept that noise.

That is all ..... until next time

You're not wrong, Ryan. The 4200 hit me the same way, and the GT does it regularly. They are just bloody awesome

So, so true! I've only had mine for about 2 months, but am still absolutely in awe of how beautiful it looks and sounds. I find my self inventing reasons to go for a drive... does this stop after a while?

She just gets me every time, it dilutes a little when she's in more regular use but always always when you drive, it's that noise then knowing what you're sat in, a breathtaking big engined thing of beauty.

If only I had time to take a proper run out on my own over the moors this next week before I go back to work, unfortunately the wife's work schedule plays havoc with that

It's everything. Even if you can't get the tyres warm and there's a load of idiots on the road stopping you from giving it what she needs, you pull into Tesco and the kid stops talking to his father and you see him mouth the word 'Maserati'......

Had everyone stare at her today, think the fact she was gleaming after s good detail a few weeks back and that it was a sunny bright day, people in cars in front looking behind them lol.

When does summer start again ......

I was parked in 'our' underground car park in Aberdeen about ten days ago Ryan. My Maser was as filthy as **** - but still looked great - and your's was all locked up at home, clean and shiny.

We had a bit of snow today so summer is not yet incoming.

Agree with you. Its a heck of a car. Made the 911 next to me at the lights look like a punto.
The sound is ridiculous. Agree can't wait for the summer!

Mines on a winter sabbatical, she'll make an appearance probably in March. Going to treat her to a full paint correction and ceramic coating it'll be worth the money as she ain't going anywhere !

I saw a few friends post some snow pics, as long as it's cleared in a week or so !!

I think most cars would struggle to take your eyes away from a GT Iain. I actually like the size as well, has presence

They are brilliant. The thing that p!sses me off with it is that it's virtually impossible to replace. I mean, what on God's earth could you ever get instead?

No need to apologise for the big GTS gush, its truly a special car. Bet yours looks great if it's recently been detailed as well.

I've only owned mine 6 weeks but 'get it' already and I'm hooked. Earlier in the week I had a chap in a 991 GTS revving his engine, baiting me to do the same at a set of traffic lights. I duly obliged (in sports mode of course) and received an approving big grinning smile and thumbs up. Most people love them.

This all over, luckily be a good few years for me yet, but even knowing what you know now, come change time I wouldn't have a clue what to choose.

I think only the FF would be an upgrade. However I feel it won't get as much love as the GTS does from the public.

FF is no doubt an amazing car and some power plant, but Adam is right just doesn't flick the switches like the GT does. I'm actually sat here playing a game with myself in as much what would I change to right now if I had to, struggling unless I decided to go the 2 seater route for a change

As a driver yes, but not aesthetically.

Totally agree. Should have made that point in my post - but I forgot.

Sometimes though you need to forgo form over function. I.e. The Noble is not a beautiful car by any imagination. But as a drivers car I have yet to experience one better.

But like you all I struggle to think what a 2+2 "upgrade" would be both in form and function.

Have to agree, despite the recent **** I've had to deal with I'm still in awe of how good it is. Also taking her to Llandow and thrashing her shows she can also be beasted and handle well on a tight track. Every time I go out I see people craning their necks to see the car as it goes past and get positive comments. I have made up my mind I am keeping her that's for sure, for the same price there is nothing that can deliver the same level of ownership experience and quality.
