GTS front grill mesh replace - how easy? - Finished

Look an like an excellent job well done.

How did you get access to get place cardboard behind the lower grills ( I assume by removing the the plastic underskirt?)

Only partly removed / undone the under tray at the front. Load of hex screws along the front and then I removed the ones in front of the wheel just on one side and that gave me enough room to get my hands in behind on both sides.
There’s a thick wire or pipe on both sides, might be the light washer pipe but it’s easy enough to get cardboard in there in front of it and behind the grill

I think i would use a couple of rolls of tape to make sure everything is covered. Curious about the end result though!

Panic stations, and then I little missed bit on other side probably from where the tape had flopped off a bit and covered the grill

However 24 hours to properly cure and I only did it earlier, pulled out my little friend super resin polish and off it comes phew

And then a wee touch up with some satin touch up paint I already had and job jobbed

And the final result, couldn’t be happier, totally cleaned up the front end. Pics aren’t the greatest but from this ....

I won’t lie I **** myself. But luckily I didn’t fester on the sofa till tomorrow where it may have been a different story.

Just need the bumper re-sprayed now lol
