Anyone else have the seat tilt chrome lever come off in their hand - been quoted £495 to remove seat, strip and inspect cable gulp !

Should that be covered under warranty ?

I've had two break. Covered under warranty. Just a case of getting a new one from the dealer and pushing it into place.

I've had two snap and replaced under warranty. Cheap part. Pushing it fully up before tilting helps protect it.

Yeah. I got mine replaced under warranty. They definitely will cover it.

These aluminium ones? Where do I get them? Sounds like an upgrade I would finally happy to make on my car.

And it doesn't need the seat stripping!!! Who is telling you this? They need a slap in the face! It is a simple pull out push in with replacement part!!

I broke 2 of mine within a week of owning the GTS. I now have a couple of spares for when somebody man handles the seat trying to get in the back. As for stripping the seat..no need and anyone who is quoting this is trying to rob you.

Right I think I need to order some spares, you do realise there is a handle on each side? :D

I do....2 should suffice at a time though. I do get in the habit of moving the seat myself if it's somebody who doesn't know how fragile they are. It's kids that seem to give it a proper pull and snap it off in my car. Once I have to replace one I just order another one. Touch wood in the last year I haven't broken any.

Oh it definitely is.

Maranello replaced mine under warranty no questions asked.

Suggest you got to another main dealer.
