GT engine oil

I got a "check engine oil" light come on today, just as I was parking. When I got back in to drive home, the light was off.

When I got home, I checked the oil level (engine off, 5 mins after 20 mins driving) - the dip stick looked low, but not concerning (pic below).

Should I top-up? What would be recommended? I was thinking of putting 1ltr of Shell Helix Ultra Engine Oil - 5W-40, thoughts?

I have a major service booked in with SI in ~2 months. No signs of oil leaks, but I believe the cam cover gasket is leaking slightly at the back onto the cats (couple smelly symptoms).

Car is a Granturismo MC shift.

Cheers

That is a bit low but not of concern. Keep an eye on it. I run mine in the summer at a similar level to allow for hot expansion.

Thanks - I got a litre this morning from a local shell garage (2x online price).

I'll keep an eye on it until it is in for the service.
