GS rear brakes

Having finished the front end of the car, I have finally got her turned around so that I can start on the rear end refurb, I was expecting to see actuall 'hard' brake lines connected to the calipers, but the flexi's go straight to the calipers, is this correct? because the HEL stainless flexi's I bought are way to short to fit in this scenario, they were bought as they specifically said they retain the factory hard lines, which the fronts did, anybody done the brakes and can remember if this is correct?, i have new hard lines (item 25 and 26 see link) https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/...akes-wheels/braking-system-valid-for-gd-28188 and these are the only hard lines I can see, or am I missing something.

Totally from memory only, this is correct - flexible pipe direct to calipers (item 27 in the diagram). Pay attention to routing and clips etc as otherwise it can rub on the rear axle with interesting results!

The replacement Goodridge hoses I had went from the hard line to the caliper, there was no extra but of pipe at the wheel end.

perhaps they are for a 3200 and someone has assumed they are the same?

3200 has flexi then hard at the front and flexi all the way at the rear. Do you think they have sent you a front instead of rear?

Was expecting to see hard line from caliper to flexi at the rear, same as front, but perhaps there isn't one, looks like it will be a right pain getting the old ones off!

Certainly looks like the 3200 and 4200 are the same. No hard pipe at the caliper end.

Thanks , will have to get it all apart and take it from there, was convinced there should be hard lines direct to rear calipers, but I guess not.

Think I remember when I did mine that you had to specifically order the ones for the 4200/GS which were longer? There was a thread on here about it with a recommended supplier as well.
