For me low mileage is always worth a premium but that because I do so little mileage and would always feel I am driving a newish car

Mine had clocked up just 7600 miles when I got it. Needless to say, it looked virtually new (and still does). Tyres good, brakes good, clutch good.

Go to 20,000 miles and you may be closing in on a new clutch, new brake discs, etc. These things, plus tyre wear and type of service due, are typically what you cannot see in a classified advert.

Had a new spigot bearing under warranty about 3,000 miles ago and fitted a new clutch then even though the old one was only 42% worn

You will get the same with a low miles car its not been used so surely some parts need to be moving and haven't been due to under use....................I get that low miles cars are desirable but not 9k desirable......a 2006 car will always be a 2006 car and be only worth 2006 car money.......Unless its old and classic that is....
