As above, is this possible and is anyone aware of this being done?

The GS hard-back items do strike me as a much more supportive (and stylish IMO) design. Would never find them in the correct matching colour I expect, so would be a case of buying used and then re-trimming.

Yes, all doable. It was actually an option to have them on the 4200 from the factory. Very rare to find them optioned in a 4200 though. Dave Walker had them in his old 4200 and I've only even seen two.

As you say unlikely to find them in the right colour unless you are lucky and even then some may be tech cloth inserts or all leather but colour piped. They are expensive though when they come up. Soprano Stu will have some I expect.

I thought about doing it in my 4200 but didn't think the likely cost warrantied it.

There are three or four full GS interiors for sale on ebay at the moment each for a couple of grand.

Yep, saw those. Have also found a couple of GS breaking with black interiors, which would work well for me. Mine is a Grigio interior but with black leather dash top, black carbon door inserts and black carbon steering wheel.

There was a complete GS black interior on eBay several months ago. They were asking £400 iirc.
Peterborough based but am fairly sure they were overseas. Eastern Europe at a guess.
Can't find the listing now in any case - if it turns up will post it here.

Yep I had them in my 4200, specified from new, I don’t recall not having side bins tho as Martin suggested...
Frilly knickers skirts on a GS? Don't know if that's the same for all though.
There was the pastel blue 4200 Spyder doing the rounds for a couple of years that had the GS seats.

I will dig out some pics, come to think of it, it may have had the useless fabric pockets like a GS.

Don't know if the bin is removeable but at the very least it is integrated with the speaker housing. Think you'd need replacement cards too.

Hopefully I could simply switch across my carbon door inserts then. Will check the parts diagrams too.

Pretty sure the inserts would fit - but quite right to check first. If you go ahead with this, whilst you're in the door, it would be a good opportunity to upgrade speakers and add some Dynamat. Perhaps upgrade speaker cables too.
