just a note to say massive thank you to AV Engineering (voicey) for the check-over on the GS after our Eurotrip.

highly recommend AVE, voicey is a great guy. after a 3,000+ miles trip around Europe, I wanted to get the GS checked over as next service isn't till May. AVE went over the GS and spent time discussing the car in detail. -- happy to report she is still great - even the wishbones :)

thanks again voicey...

route:
- black forest (baden baden) then onto route 500 (was OKish but it was raining very hard)
- Switzerland (Bern)- via Rheinfalls then to great Jazz hotel - only down side was no late bar :(
- Lake Como via route 6 and 19 (wow)
- Avignon via route D1091 and D1075 (wow)
- Andorra via route N116 (very nice)
- Lourdes via route C28 (very nice)
- then home via some boring toll roads with a stop off mid-way.

can give you the routes in more details if interested

I am currently on 1100 miles into my 3000+ mile euro trip in my 4200 and I'm glad that im not the only one worried about the suspension... The roads are very smooth until you hit a choppy bit transitioning over a bridge and I am left thinking holy **** the wishbones!! Glad your GS survived the trip I'm not going to jynx myself yet but so far so good.

Our route is: Guildford to Freiburg
Freiburg to bellano on lake como
Bellano to vinci in Tuscany - current location
Vinci to boscoreale near Pompeii
Boscoreale to Innsbruck (not looking forward to that schlep)
Innsbruck to Stuttgart
Stuttgart to Guildford

Voicey looks after my car and honestly I dont trust anyone else with it. Genuine enthusiast who is very knowledgeable and if he does not know something he has the resources and contacts to obtain the solution. He is very patient with me as I am conatantly hassling him for advice and I am very greatful to him for that lol.
