Granturismo winter tyres for sale

I know this is a strange time to advertise these, but I wouldn’t mind clearing some space in the garage, and recouping some of price I’ve just paid for a new set of tyres for the Gransport

I’ve got a full set of 20” Pirelli Sottozero II’s tyres that came off my 2012 Granturismo S. All are in good condition, and have probably only done 1000 - 1500miles. Tread depth is at least 6mm, and the sizes are 285/35 and 245/35.

I think I paid £1200 for them in October 2016, and am open to sensible offers... I’m based near Leatherhead, junction 9 of the M25, and would prefer to hand them over to someone rather than try and courier.

If no one wants them I will hold on to them until the autumn and then stick them up on here again and on eBay...

Good Luck with the sale Jon, most people tuck theirs up for winter rather than test their seat heater functions...

Truth is I enjoyed driving mine too much to not be willing to drive it between November and March... so hopefully at some point I will find someone else who feels similar...

These days with better meteorological intelligence and warmer winters (due to climate change), there's not much salt on the roads as before...so Winter driving should be more prevalent...

I put my winter tyres on the Cab just after Christmas, at a cost of £80. Then in April, I drove back to the same place to have the summer tyres put back on, for a further £80. Other than the journey to and from the tyre place, I didn't use the car. So not the best spend of £160. On the upside, my winters have still got lots of tread left!

But on a more serious note, for anyone that does use their GT during the winter, buying this set from Jon is a no brainer.

I drove mine right through last winter on winter tyres, no issues. The previous year I taxed it in October and then drove it 5 times, probably a grand total of 100 miles.

I guess it’s getting closer to the time that people may be thinking of winter tyres.

These are still for sale, and I’m probably going to stick them up on eBay in early October, unless someone on here wants them???

Open to sensible offers...

I use to use my Spyder throughout winter and the fitment of winter tyres was so beneficial. If you never driven on winter tyres you won't understand the difference they make when the road gets cold.

Yep - I have winter tyres for mine and will be swapping over when the temps start to consistently drop below 10 degrees
