It is confused, yes.

What I heard just yesterday from a MD was that the GT replacement will be around 2020. The Alfieri coupe in 2022, Alfieri convertible in 2024 but no GranCab. None of these will be normally aspirated and none will be V8s. This is at least what is being filtered down to the dealers so let's wait and see but it looks certain that there will be no new model until at least 2020

Seems the coupe version of the new Alfa Gulia will emerge before the replacement for the GranTurismo.

Bottom line is, nobody can possibly know, as Maserati themselves don't know from one moment to the next what their strategy is. I'm sure it will be as much as a surprise to the senior management as us when something actually happens.

It's true, the 'official line' from Maserati changes regularly but I would be surprised if we see any new GT in the showroom before 2020 personally

Managed to get this info for the dealer, they're reverting by to what they call a "classic" design for the Granturismo replacement. A much bigger front end. Straight through exhaust. Rear wheels are even bigger then the Alfieri concept. Also, it will be launched as a cabrio!!

Photo here taken next to the car it is replacing, an amazing step forwards

Hang onto your Classics guys.
Glad I'm out of the Dealership for me no excitement anymore.
Just my opinion.

I can wait till then. Mine's 5 years old, just had new brakes and running well.
