Yeh thinking about it I never got any of my rust back after they did my chassis rails , perhaps I have a credit with them now in exchange for the rust they kept

Well my contribution was a Steering wheel and MC R 1 select buttons so at least whatever he is building won’t be an auto :p

WTF
Is that a joke?
Nope, I wish it was.

The dealer told me it needed a new rear disk, I asked for both to be done before I took it. Only one was done and in doing so they broke the hub carrier and took out the entire handbrake system on that side of the car. Needless to say I’ve emailed them and will be insisting it’s fixed and not by them. Will be straight to Matt or I’ll be asking for a full refund

Wow, that’s terrible.
Hope it’s sorted quickly

Truly shocking state of affairs. We see things like this all the time.

Buy from a reputable dealer is the only advise we can offer and not from the generic car sales places.

At least it’s gone somewhere decent now.

Is that where the handbrake adjuster is? What do you reckon they could have done to break that? Levering the disc off?

The top bit is the handbrake pull mechanism, the adjuster (spreads the shoes) is at the 6 o'clock position.
Bodger mechanic now requires rear suspension unit (upper, lower wishbone and hub) handbrake back plate, shoes, cable, springs and all the other gubbins.

The vibrations turned out to be overfilling of the oil, the car had around 2.5l too much oil
I bought my GS from a reputable dealer, and they had it serviced as part of the deal, after a couple of weeks I got Emblem to inspect it, oil overfilled by 1.5L ! Think that generic garages just put in the amount it states in the book.

I'm guessing that's the outfit in Reading and why so many of their cars keep getting re listed.

That is absolutely bonkers, why would they try a trick like that. I assume the wheel bearing is knackered too ;)

I can hear the excuses now. Well it was fine when you collected it. You must have removed it all and now you are trying to shaft us.

Seems was only MOT'd recently also, was that by the dealer?

Makes the wooden block spacing out my incorrectly sized battery look like childsplay , oh and I am waiting for it to die before I replace it ;)
