Nice job!

Did you get any performance numbers before downtuning? Cause it seems that you pulled quite a bit of performance converting it.

Can’t see why there’d be any noticeable performance change, it’s not been “downtuned”.

I know what you mean but it would a faff to trailer it everywhere, store the trailer, not be able to take it for a quick spin down the road, have to buy 110 octane race fuel at £5 / litre. Plus it is so, so low. Even with the splitter removed, it needed a special low trailer and was difficult to get into the SportsItalia garage so the ride height had had to be raised.
I agree that in it's raw form, it would be an incredible track day weapon but once it's all done, I don't think that it will be far off that.
See what you make of it when you see it in action, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
Stuart this is probably a stupid question but because you own another GranTurismo could you not just put that registration onto your Trofeo and only make minimum modifications to the lights/tyres/mirrors and drive? If police ask just say it’s a modified GranTurismo. Only car people know it’s a race car.
I was thinking if you owned a mc12 and mc12 corsa , you could also just put the mc12 plates on the corsa and drive the corsa on the road with light road friendly modifications such as tyres and lights.

What a stunning project, can't wait to see it in the metal.
At half a ton lighter it must be fairly economical despite £5 a litre. Could it not run on asda 95? :saifi:

As for paint, it's in Eldorado white, go retro... ;)

Our learned friend above is Suisse and when I was living there you had one set of plates which the system had all your details.
As you can only drive one car at a time you put your plates on the car you were going to use.

Thanks for clarifying. I understand where he was coming from then. Nothing underhand.

Indeed, very different regulations here but it would have been a whole lot easier!

Indeed, if anything it has been slightly uptuned!
The car is in GT4 spec and pre 2016 season when all entrants are taken to the SRO who run the series for the balance of power equalisation, the Maseratis were too quick and restrictors had to be fitted between the throttle body and induction air filter which resulted in the peak power dropping to around 440bhp. I do not have the restrictor fitted on mine and of course the map that was written for it also resulted in a peak power upgrade so it is probably a bit quicker than the regular race cars now. The talent behind the wheel however, that's another story!

Thanks Martin

And yes, it actually would run on 95 as the engine is basically a standard 4.7, even the injectors are the same as on yours. I will be running it on super so yes, it's all about decent fuel economy! It's actually got a bladder fuel tank with a capacity of over 100 litres so it should go for miles if you can stand the discomfort for that many hours!

Any plans for getting it wrapped?

Eventually, yes. I am trying to get the rest of the race history of my car and then pin down what livery it was wearing for each race / season and pick what I fancy from that. I want to try to keep it authentic as much as I can

Ebor Motorsport used to have loads of pics of the car on their Instagram page, but it doesn't seem to exist any more.

Did find this though.

Yes, that's their other car, it was also in fluorescent yellow when they ran a full season in British GT. I am looking for the livery on my car before it came to the UK. Mine has been white with no decals from soon after it arrived here in 2016

Do you know who raced it before Ebor?

One point that wasn't lost on me or rather figure 506bhp. Exactly 10% more then mine.

Same engine etc as the 4.7 road going car

just with a different map...

and running on super...

;)
