Granturismo GTS tested in Evo

Well, the postie brought me the grey package today that is Evo.

There is a 911 Carrera S group test. Seven cars, two get five stars and five get four and a half stars - the Maser and the 911 (interestingly) are in the latter group.

The GTS is an Auto which they say suits the GT nature of the car better. I would take that with a pinch of salt as Harry Metcalfe ran a 4.2 Auto, said he did not like the 4.7 MC Shift when it came out and then, three years later, buys an MC Shift. As I've said before, it's great that Maserati offer a choice of gearboxes with the 4.7 and that that will continue post the facelift.

Only flicked at it so will read it in detail over the weekend but the Maser came out ok.

Maser is mid point for the test IIRC - R8, 911, V8V, XKR, GTR and something else.

Agree completely. All subjective in any case.

Interestingly, if you exclude Chris Harris from the Evo Car of the Year votes (as he left just after voting and owned his own version of the winning 911) then the McLaren won rather than the 911. Just shows how subjective these things really are - narrative is much more interesting than votes and star ratings.

These 5 cars.......aren't truly the "same" .......ie.....GT....out and out sports cars.......fast coupes.......so really hard to make one a winner.....................

Some great reviews of it Dem...Not heard it being a let down yet......But for more I don't like the styling....BMW seem to be going the wrong way on style...They used to be good looking cars now I can not see it......Not read the EVO yet so no sure what they say but any car that gets 4.5 stars out of 5 has to be a bloody good...
