GranTurismo 4.7 Wanted

Hi all

I'm new here and still weighing up options, but potentially very interested in a GTS. I'd be looking for one post the variators resolution (so about 2010/ 2011 I guess), with no subframe issues, and ideally been treated to prevent this (probably the single biggest concern I have about taking the plunge .... reassuring words telling me not to worry about this if it has been looked after may be helpful!). Partly because of this point, I'd be interested in a looked-after forum member's car rather than taking a gamble on an AutoTrader car (although an inspection should solve this I guess).

I'm not bothered about low mileage cars, in fact I'd prefer a "regularly used" example to a garage queen. Most in the 2011-2015/16 range I'd probably be most interested being advertised on PistonHeads / AT currently seem quite low mileage, and priced accordingly ... is there currently a dearth of cars compared to "normal" times?

My other main stipulation would be the MC Shift "manual", not Auto. I'm not a fan of black wheels (etc), and red wouldn't be my favourite interior, but otherwise I'm pretty open to colour options etc. My ideal budget would be around £30k, although it feels like there are signs of a "summer market" (or maybe "Covid-shortage"?) premium currently which means that would need to be closer to £35k for the lower mileage cars currently out there and fitting the above, which seem to be the only ones currently available.

I guess I should speak to Richard Grace and others in case they have clients unsure about selling, but if there are any forum members out there unsure about selling, do let me know.

I'm based in Gloucestershire and when rules permit happy to travel. Would be great to speak to a forum member to get a bit more insight into ownership / experience. It feels like a very friendly forum here and I presume you guys would also hold meets periodically in "normal times", which would be great too.

Apologies for the long rambling post - Many thanks for any thoughts / comments!

Great choice.
I had a 2011 4.7 GT-S MC-Shift before I bought my Strad and it was an excellent car. I sold it to another member on here.
Your budget is good also, so the right car will be out there somewhere.

A big warm welcome. A yes speak to Dicky above as you will not go far ring with a car from him. Peace of mind also as it’s mine field out there.

Welcome, Coupe.
If you would like to chat or even visit when allowed with someone who has lived with a GT for over 5 years and experienced most if not all of the issues that transpire with ownership, and how and who is best to deal with them, then just say.
I'm also in Gloucestershire, North Cotswolds, if it's easier to chat face to face.
One piece of advice.
I wrought agonies for 12 months in whether to pursue the Maserati route, researching which type, their issues, which variant until Jacquie kicked me up the ar$e and told me forcibly to just f0cking do it.
Within 3 days I bought mine, the first GT I saw (nearly).
She's still here, and not going anywhere.

Welcome to the group. I bought my fourth Maserati at the end of Jan. A very nice 2013 Granturismo Sport. Fantastic car. You’ll love it when you find the right one for you.
