Afternoon all,

Car is currently in for a service and they have found a "slight leak from the front timing belt cover"..

Anyone had this before? Wondering on price to fix (they're coming back to me) so I have something to go by.

It's something of a known issue. I seem to recall it falls in between 'ouch' and 'bloody ****!' price ranges. You might want to consider not having it done if it's not severe.....

I reserve the right to be very wrong indeed

****....

Well if its crazy money I'll get it done next year, It genuinely is a tiny drop at the bottom of the front cover & there is no oil where it is parked all the time & lastly & of course the oil level hasn't drop at all in 10 months of ownership

Having done them its labour intensive and you will be having the rocker cover gaskets done too.
Its also good to check that everything else is okay in there as well like the chain guides.

The garage reported that mine has weeping gaskets as well on a recent service. Not bad enough to do anything about at this stage.
