Gransport Wheels on a 3200

Having just bought a lovely red 3200 from Richard, I have given some thought to replacing the existing 18" wheels with the 19" after market Gransport wheels available from Eurospares.
I have seen this in the flesh and they look the dogs proverbials!
Just wondered if others and gone down this path and any thought/views.

I wouldn’t change that beautiful car you have at all. Just my view. It’s probably one of the nicest 3200s about. :)

That's a lovely car. If it was mine I might consider the Assetto/4200 wheels but not the GS ones which are said to be somewhat fragile anyway. What does Richard think?

I agree with Phil. I’d be wary of going bigger and using the fragile GS wheels. Better to go to the 4200 design, as offered as a factory option on the later 3200’s originally.

They will fit, but you may find the ride far too crashy on our poor UK roads.

As others have suggested go for the multi spokes and keep your current tyres and save a bob or two for repairs... it is a 3200 after all.

Its a gorgeous colour and one of the main reasons I bought it. I'm not normally one for adding bling to a car but the GS wheels look amazing. I think Richards opinion is to keep it stock. I think I prefer the existing wheels compared to the later 4200 ones.

Surely it won't need any more money spent on it!!!(only kidding) Mouth watering amount of money spent on her already over the last few years. Saying that, I nearly took the exhaust off on a speed bump near the house.
Definitely a car that needs a while to get used to. Combination of hair trigger throttle and heavy clutch makes city driving interesting! Can't wait to give her a good thrash post lockdown.

It is your car so do what you want. Golden rule is to ensure that mods are reversable and of course that they fit in the first place.

I have heard that the GS replica alloys at ES are heavier and apparently stronger than the stock factory ones.

Hi Flexwing - can’t help with any knowledgable input on the wheels, but you have a gorgeous looking 3200 there... I was admiring that on Dicky’s site!

GS wheels are made of warm chocolate so if you desperately want to change the 3200 wheels I’d go for the 18s off a 4200. Either those or the Formula Dynamic 18s, which I’m pretty sure will fit the 3200.

Ah Flexwing

Good to have you back on the team!
Oh and don't put those fragile GS wheels on. I'd stick with these or the later 4200 ones.

Thanks DaveT. I almost went over to the dark side and looked very closely at a Panamera 4S but these damnable Massers hooked me again! Tbh I know this car and nearly bought it twice before so it needed to be done. Having test driven another 32 it's very addictive! I love turbos.
