Hiya.
I need 4 new tyres and I dont like the Pzero's that are on the car.
Living in Spain what would you guys go for ?
Also just noticed that I have 235/ 35 zr19 on the front and 265/30 zr19 on the back... shouldnt the height be the same ?
Thanks

The heights are roughly the same. The aspect ratio is the sidewall height as a percentage of the tyre width. So a 235/35 has a sidewall size of 82mm and a 265/30 has a sidewall size of 79mm.

They are the correct sizes for a Gransport.

As for brands. I always had Michelin Pilot Supersport, others have favoured the Goodyear Eagle F1.

Go for Pilot Sport 4s, it's the newer compound and proving excellent on my car. I don't think there is a vast difference but that's what I'd do unless there is a huge price difference, which I doubt.

Hi, I’ve got Goodyear Eagle F1s on my car, and they are a million times better than the Pzero’s I had on my Granturismo... Whether they are better or worse than the Michelin’s I don’t know...

Comparing different cars so not entirely scientific, I think the PS4S is gripier in the dry than the Supersport buy I think the PS4S is noisier, they seemed to drone on certain road surfaces when I had them on the Alpina.

Last time I looked Supersports were significantly cheaper than PS4S by about £80 a tyre.

£4£ go for the Goodyear’s, excellent on that chassis. I’ve not had Michelin’s on a GS but expect them to be as good but twice the price.

Thx for everyone’s feedback . It’s about 760 quid for all 4 MPS4S , THE F1s are about 100 quid cheaper .. decisions decisions.

I’ve the Michelin’s all round, tbh I preferred the Goodyear F1 on my 4200, I feel at times “pressing on your honour” they feel a bit vague/flighty, that said I have no idea about the Geo set up on the car, so could be that/ or me.

Actually, I had Vredestein on my Gransport which I was happy with. I know a few others also used these without issue. They could be cheaper still?

Rather than start a new thread, I'm also in need of new tyres as the old ones are cracking quite badly at 6 years old (actually, they were 2 years old when they (eventually) arrived from mytyres. Plenty of tread elft, rears seem to last longer on the Mas than the fronts on our old Toyota.

I was looking at Pirellis as that is what is already on there, and see that there are about a dozen choices in the correct size for the fronts, ranging from £140 to £260. Presumably I just want the 'normal' XL 91Y front and 93Y rears ?

Also, the wife's Z4M had PZeros on when we got it, and we swapped to Mich PS4 which transformed the car. Similar sort of price (Protyre are offering £100 cashback with a set of Michelins).

As Whereskeith says, 'decisions decisions'.
