Does anyone know of or can recommend a supplier for soft top replacement for a GS Spyder? Presume this will be from the US...

Not sure why the US?

When I was looking at Spyders a couple of years ago Eurospares could get them but they were 3 grand.

I assume you are referring to the canvas covering rather than a whole roof system, frame motors etc?

Production volumes.... More specifically, a larger potential customer base which in turn is more likely to make such production viable. I think only 26 gs spyders into the UK ...whereas probably hundreds of LHD gs spyders in the US

It may be worth a call to a coach trimmer. If the frames in good condition they should be able to make a new hood for 1/3 of the price of a replacement.

The only thing the use from the original for most cars is the frame and rear window depending if its stitched or bonded into the hood.

There are a few companies that do it around the UK.

I think it would be worth trying to dye the roof. I refurbished the roof on my 996 cabriolet last year using Renovo products. After a bit of elbow grease I managed a really good result. Secret is to get the top really clean and remove all of the old water repellent. Then mask the roof off properly, this will save lots of time removing the dye splatters off the paintwork later! If you can do this under cover, even better.
