Gransport seat inserts

Just bought a Gransport ( :) ) . It has full leather, but the central leather part of the seat back seems to sit a bit proud - more so than they should. I don’t want to break them, so would appreciate any advice on how to fix. Not sure if this is a common issue, or if my description is clear enough....I can add a pic in the morning if needed.

Thanks

Jamhot had his seat centres done from what I remember...

The front seats have electrically adjustable centre insert. At their furthest extension they may appear to be sitting proud.
More importantly adjust the seat back for comfort by moving the taller seat button forwards or rearwards to adjust.

Assume he is talking about the section that is covered in tech cloth on the standard cars?!?

Also there are three metal upholstery clips that connect the top of the insert to the seat back.
If the insert comes forward freely, then zip ties will suffice as replacements.

Thanks for that. They seem slightly lose - will investigate how they disconnect

The metal clips are called hog rings, look like they have let go

Any upholstery place will be able to sort that for next to nothing.

Pull it, it will probably fall out and work out what let go.

You can get the hog ring tool and have a go yourself, but you will have to take the hard back off the seat to re fix it.

I took the inserts out of my 4200 seats to redye them. They have a strip at the bottom that clips into the metal frame and I don't think it can be done without removing the cushion. It looks like the Gransport seats are constructed the same way.
